Karuizawa streams of time 52 year old cask 8852

Jichimu, literally translated as “chicken-wing wood”, describes a wood whose deep brown and gray patterns when cut tangentially resemble the patterns of bird feathers. Good quality Jichimu may have a higher value than rosewood. It was a common material for furniture during Ming Dynasty.

The design concept of Karuizawa Streams Of Time is base on a classic whisky phrase — Uisce beatha “water of life”. By craving the wave movement on the wooden box, together with the Seigaiha “Japanese symbol: blue wave of the sea” on the bottle, this bottle will remind you of the endless ocean.

Aging in a sherry cask for over 50 years, this Karuizawa is showcasing the beauty of time streams.

Only 150 bottles made.
